General Info:


Q: What media types do you buy?
A: We purchase used DVDs & Blu-rays on Used DVD.


Q: Do you sell used DVDs & Blu-rays?
A: No we do not, but they are available for purchase on www.DVDEmpire.com and www.AdultDVDEmpire.com under the seller name DVD Empire.


Q: Why do I need an Empire Account?
A: In order to sell your used products, you will need a valid Empire Account.
  • If you already have an Account on any of our Empire Sites (DVDEmpire.com, AdultDVDEmpire.com, GayDVDEmpire.com, and SensualEmpire.com ) you are ready to go.

  • If you do not already have an Account, Click Here to Create an Empire Account. Remember it is completely FREE and not only allows you to sell your used products to us on UsedDVDEmpire.com, but is also a valid account toward the purchase of products on any of our Empire sites.

Q: Why weren’t all my items accepted when received at your facility?
A: Whether the item did not meet all of our requirements or is no longer being purchased, there may be instances when products are not accepted. We reserve the right to refuse items when received at our facility for any reason.


Q: What happens if I send you an item that does not meet ALL of these requirements?
A: You will not receive credit for it and can choose to have it returned to you or to have it destroyed.

     (1) If you choose to have your unaccepted product(s) sent back to you, $0.95 per returned title will be deducted from any credit you may receive. For example, you send us 5 products (each with value of $2.00) for a credit of $10.00. One is not accepted. It will be returned and you will receive a $7.05 credit to your DVD Empire Account.

     (2) If you choose to have your unaccepted product(s) destroyed nothing will be deducted from the credit you may receive. For example, you send us 5 products (each with value of $2.00) for a credit of $10.00. One is not accepted. It will be destroyed and you will receive an $8.00 credit to your DVD Empire Account.


Q: How do I know you destroy of the used products that do not meet your requirements?
A: We have no interest in selling damaged and/or non-functioning DVDs or Blu-rays. If a product you submit does not meet our requirements, we cannot sell it and it will be destroyed. If you are still skeptical, you can choose to have your unaccepted items returned to you at a price of $0.95 per item.

In reality, this is almost never an issue. If you follow the above guidelines when submitting used products, they will all be accepted. Our current acceptance rate is 96.8%.


Q: What if I can’t find a product I wish to sell on your site?
A: Simply put, if you can’t find the product on UsedDVDEmpire.com, then we do not buy it back. If you do decide to send us the product anyway, we will not return the product. It will be destroyed.


Q: Can I sell multiple copies of a DVD or Blu Ray discs?
A: Yes, we will normally accept multiple copies of a movie. But if you are trying to sell us more than 5 copies, we ask that you contact us at info@useddvdempire.com or at 1-888-383-1880 before sending the discs.



Payment:


Q: How do I get paid?
A: You can choose to receive your money in one of two methods:

  • Empire Account Credit: We credit your Empire Account your total amount, plus a 5% bonus, good toward the purchase of any products on our sites. (Note: This account credit cannot be converted to a direct deposit or check payment.)

  • Empire Direct Deposit: We will deposit your payment into the bank account of your choosing via the Empire Direct Deposit system (only one account can be used). (Note: We do not issue check payments for used buyback.)

Q: Can I change my Payment Method?
A: Once you have completed an Order, you cannot change your Payment Method for that Order. But you can select a different Payment Method for each Order you sell to UsedDVDEmpire.com. (Note: We do not issue check payments for used buyback.)


Q: How do I enter my Bank Account info for the Empire Direct Deposits program?
A: When you click 'Complete Order' in the sell back process, you will be directed to our 'Payment Options' page. On that page:
  1. Select the Empire Direct Deposit program as your payment method.
  2. Click the 'Add Info' link.
  3. Enter your Bank Account information making sure to enter it correctly and in its entirety.
  4. Review and Agree To the Empire Direct Deposit Terms of Agreement.
  5. Click 'Submit Information.'

Q: How do I edit my Bank Account information?
A: Since UsedDVDEmpire is a part of DVD Empire, you will need to edit your Bank Account info on the DVD Empire website.
  1. Return to the 'Your Account' section of DVD Empire.
  2. There you will find the 'Empire Deposit' section in the left nav bar.
  3. Select 'Bank Account Info.'
  4. Review and Agree To the Empire Direct Deposit Terms of Agreement.
  5. Make the necessary changes and click 'Submit Information.'
Note: Only you may Enter or Edit your Bank Account information and it must be done Online for your security.


Q: How do I use my account credit toward the purchase of products on your sites?
A: Your account credit is valid on any of our Empire Sites (DVDEmpire.com, AdultDVDEmpire.com, GayDVDEmpire.com, etc). Click here for more information about redeeming your account credit.


Q: What are the requirements for me to get credit for an item?
A: The requirements for an item to be accepted are:

  • The Product MUST be in Working Order.
  • The disc MUST be Region #1 or Region All.
  • All products MUST be the original Discs (NO duplicated or pirated copies).
  • The disc MUST be an Open DVD or Blu-ray. DIVX discs will NOT be accepted.
  • The disc surface may NOT contain any prominent scuffs, scratches or cracks.
  • The case and cover art may NOT be damaged.
  • Rental or Sampler discs will NOT be accepted.
  • The case MUST include the original booklets, if any.
  • We will not accept promotional products marked “Not for Sale or Resale.”

Q: Once you receive my order, how long will it take for me to get my payment?
A: It depends on your chosen Payment Method and when we receive your shipment.
  • Empire Account Credits are issued within 5 business days of the receipt of your shipment.
  • Empire Direct Deposits are deposited within 14 days of receipt of your shipment.
Note: Our system will send an email the day we receive your Order and AGAIN the day your payment is issued.



Shipping:


Q: How do I print the shipping label?
A: There is a link at the bottom of the Order Accepted page (the page that serves as your receipt) to print the shipping label for your order.

Note: This printable label is provided for your convenience. The label is NOT Pre-Paid and we do not reimburse shipping costs.


Q: I lost the shipping label, what is the shipping address I send my products to?

Q: Will I be compensated if I ship you my package but you never receive it?
A: No. We are not responsible for lost shipments to us. If your shipment does not reach us, for ANY reason, we will NOT compensate you in any way. For this reason we always recommend insuring your shipment to us.


Q: Will I be compensated if you receive my package but some or all of the contents were damaged in transit?
A: No. We are not responsible for goods damaged in transit. Even though you may have shipped the product in "good" condition, if it arrives damaged you will NOT receive credit for it. For this reason you should take extra care in packaging your discs and always insure your shipment.


Q: If I do not receive credit for one or more used items, how do you ship them back to me?
A: Media Mail


Q: Will I be compensated if you ship me a package but I never receive it?
A: No. We are not responsible for lost shipments. If you never receive a return shipment, we will NOT compensate you in any way.

Q: Will I be compensated if I receive my package from you but some or all of the contents were damaged in transit?
A: No. We are not responsible for goods damaged in transit. If a shipment arrives damaged, you will NOT be compensated in any way.
